Do you, or someone you know, have experience with horses and natural resource management? We have a new position open to work as a Resource Planner I (Farm Planner), helping horse owners manage mud, manure, pastures, and water. This is a full-time position with benefits. You will be working with a great team who are committed to helping landowners with farm planning and implementation of livestock- and equine best management practices.
- Terms: Permanent non-exempt regular full-time position (40 hours per week), with benefits
- Salary: Starting at $35,650 to $50,000

Introduction: The mission of the Snohomish Conservation District is to work cooperatively with others to promote and encourage conservation and responsible use of natural resources. The District has a talented staff of professionals that engage in project implementation and outreach activities to promote clean water, healthy salmon habitat, and a viable agricultural community. The Resource Planner I is focused on providing technical assistance and education to equine and small farm landowners in Snohomish County and Camano Island.
The Resource Planner I will join the Natural Resources Team and report to the Natural Resources Program Manager. Each employee is encouraged to seek continued learning opportunities, develop their individual technical knowledge, and explore strategies for how conservation practices and services may be improved. The ability to provide exceptional customer service, earn the trust of the public, and work cooperatively with a diverse population is essential to this position.
Funding for this position is subject to availability of state and local government grants and contracts. Permanence of the job is dependent upon continued grant funding.
