Eagle Ridge Community Garden Has Its Own Gazebo

Jim Haugen, Parks and Recreation Coordinator, from the Lake Stevens Park Department sent over these photos of the newly constructed gazebo at Eagle Ridge Community Garden. They used $500 from our Lawns to Lettuce cost-share program to purchase materials for the gazebo. It will be used as an educational space where gardeners can learn in shade/cover from the heat of the day or protected cover on a rainy wet day. 

In 2017, the gardens opened at 2420 Soper Hill Road and they harvested 6 tons of food. That's a lot of food. And, several thousand pounds of food were donated to the food bank. Kudos to them!
