Eagle Ridge Community Garden Has Its Own Gazebo
/Jim Haugen, Parks and Recreation Coordinator, from the Lake Stevens Park Department sent over these photos of the newly constructed gazebo at Eagle Ridge Community Garden. They used $500 from our Lawns to Lettuce cost-share program to purchase materials for the gazebo. It will be used as an educational space where gardeners can learn in shade/cover from the heat of the day or protected cover on a rainy wet day.
In 2017, the gardens opened at 2420 Soper Hill Road and they harvested 6 tons of food. That's a lot of food. And, several thousand pounds of food were donated to the food bank. Kudos to them!
